An independent short film

After Her Pill

A young woman navigates her career, her relationship, and her own body after an abortion.

The film

Life keeps moving.
Rosie is still catching up.

Rosie

After her abortion, Rosie battles its lingering hold on her body to make up for lost time at work. At home, she and her partner James work to comfort and support each other inside the whiplash of routine responsibilities and the burden of normality.

When Rosie finally confronts and confides her emotions, solace blooms from an unexpected place.

Why this film

The decision is over.
The experience is not.

After Her Pill stays with Rosie after the choice has already been made. The film follows the physical and emotional return to ordinary life, and the way love, grief, intimacy, uncertainty, and imagined futures can exist at the same time.

It makes room for those feelings without insisting that they add up to regret, certainty, or a single explanation.
